Are you a negative thinker? Don’t be! If you come to hasty conclusions on 99% of your dealings in a day, then you are a negative person. If you tend to blame others or even yourself for the tragedies happening in your life, yes you are a negative person. If you don’t think of your future that you wanted five years back, you are a definitely negative person. If people don’t generally come to you for advice or maybe for some random discussions, then you are almost a negative person who will never develop his inner self.

I am not here to underestimate you by pointing out your matches. But, I am going to tell you some creative ways in which you can disrobe your negative thoughts and emotions and it flow away from you.
1. Feel Pure
First of all, feel that you are pure, pure on the inside.
Close your eyes and imagine what I say. There is a green grass all around. You are seeing mountains growing in front of you. You can hear the fluttering waters nearby. Do not search for the waters. Juts listen. Feel the velvet grass underneath your bare feet. Feel the comfortable cold that surrounds.You are wearing a brown tattered long overcoat. It’s unbuttoned. It’s stuck on your shoulders and all of it is trying to fly away in the strong blow. Only if you let your arms free and loosen your shoulders, it would fly away. Now think of everything that you consider bad for you. Think of everything that is ruining you in some way. Think of all the commotion in your life. Collect all these with your hands and put them in the deeply lost pockets of the overcoat. The overcoat is trying to go away from you. It wants you to let loose and go to distant lands where you would never find any of those. Go ahead, free yourself!
2. Be an Artist
This is a personal experience. Try to be an artist. Just give it a try. If you become one, you are adding a skill to your profile. If you don’t, you will become peaceful. Let me tell you how this works because this has worked wonders for me and my known ones. I achieved both, skill and peace. Start with collecting some photographs of unknown people, mostly portraits. You can find them on newspapers or advertising pamphlets. Take a corner chair and table. Avoid noise. Be ready with your A4 paper, pencil, and eraser. Start copying from the original to the paper.
The most appealing part of a portrait is “eyes”. So begin with eyes. Take your own lovely time and follow all the minute details of the photograph. You’ll definitely end up somewhere near to the original. The first try might scare you a bit but as you keep on doing this with different photographs, you are sure to improve. Now, how does this help? While you are sketching something from a perfect original, you tend to remove all the possibilities of going wrong and the whole of your attention is focused on doing only that what makes it good and nearer to the original. You become clearer in your mind. Subsequently, you become better at dealing with situations that normally might dishearten you.
3. Music filters
While in an inappropriate situation, you tend to modify your playlist and it plays only the songs that echo your situation. The sad songs tend to be really slow and low beat. You resonate with it and start feeling that the songs are listening to you. Oh yes, you are right. The songs listen to you and you listen to the songs. Try to filter your playlist every time you feel low according to what you should listen, not what you want to listen.
The songs could be slow or upbeat, could be in any language that you understand or even in the language that you do not understand but its music lightens you. The songs should allow you time to think good thoughts and not force you to think what you should not. Sometimes people fall prey to the sad songs and then those songs betray them instead of making you fell light, they don’t even empathize with you. They tell you to think wrong and you listen to your master. So prepare a playlist beforehand that can come to your rescue at any time when you need.
Make up your mind!
For bringing about a change into whatever you normally do, is a tedious task. And, when it comes to your emotions, you go weak at the knees. Therefore, for tackling those difficult memories that keep haunting you for nothing, be clear in your mind that they are just passing thoughts.
