Being alone is not a curse! No guys, it is actually an opportunity to keep away from all the rush ’n’ hush around. You won’t get to see that irritating person and will be at peace. No work to do, it’s a good sign again because now you’ll have enough time for yourself. No close people around to talk to? Again a good thing to start with! It’s because when you have talkative people around, although it’s a good time-pass, but maybe not be that productive and you might even feel at the end that you should have done something better.
Visiting good people and keeping oneself among them is a good act but doing this always can lead you to nowhere and ultimately you’ll try to find the answer within. The only question is: What if being alone leads us to gloominess? So, the answer is that DO KEEP YOURSELF FREE. Keep doing something so that you have no time for useless worries and fruitless sadness. I have some ways in which you can DO SOMETHING and use your time well and be happy.
1. Practice Self-love
Self-love is something we miss out on our daily courses. We think about loving the people around but not the person within. So take this opportunity to do things to yourself that makes you happy. It can be anything like sleeping the whole day, not taking a bath for a day, eating junk for the whole day while watching movies one after the other in your bed, calling up an old friend on phone and spending the whole day like that, cooking to yourself the tastiest foods of the world and so.
2. Spend time with an animal
You’ve got a human-less day, so keep it like that. Go and interact with an animal, if you don’t have any pets. Yes, interact! There are animals like dogs, squirrels, birds, cows and monkeys etc. that are roaming around on the streets and everywhere having no one to care. When someone caresses them they feel loved and they don’t have any issues of “less love” or “more love” that you generally experience in case of humans. This is something where you are sure to get the love back to you. You’ll be happy, finally.
3. Pursue your hobby
Hobby is something you should do daily. But because of the busy schedule you are in, there’s no time for it. It is something you love to do. So use this empty day to fill your time with colors of happiness by the different types of hobbies you were once involved in. It can be anything like pencil sketching, playing guitar, practicing singing, writing poems and stories etc. It will be a day well spent.
4. Move out of your house
Go out and do nothing! Just dress up as if you’re going out on a date and move out. Do not decide where to go. On the way to nowhere you’ll feel like going to a place and then just divert your directions. Keep changing places and see how amazing your time will go by. You might end up shopping or may be eating something delicious, or you may witness beautiful sites in the unknown ways.
5. Go for solo-shopping
Believe me guys, this is not for shopaholics! Shopping can be of any kind, not only for clothes and shoes. Go out in the market or a shopping complex. Buy biscuits, chocolates, chips, and even your daily need items all at once. The contentment you’ll feel after spending so many hours in shopping such things and bringing back big bags alone will be awesome. You’ll feel happy, confident and satisfied.
6. Treat yourself at a restaurant
Every other day you don’t have enough time to go to specific places and get your favorite tastes experiences. The tiresome days don’t allow you to think what you really want to eat. Get this lonely day out and go to that particular restaurant or eating-points where you can have your delicious soups, burgers, dosas, Chinese food, Italian food or whatsoever. Relax and eat to your heart’s content. It is said that when your stomach is happy and your taste buds are satisfied, it’s a kind of happiness that cannot be explained.
7. Write letters
Although this is an old-fashioned thing for today, but you can always turn to the traditional letter writing when it is something really close to your heart. What other time can be the best to do this! You are alone; no one to distract you and the thoughts will flow like a river as pure. There is someone you want to convey your feelings, parents, siblings, friends, lover whoever. Write everything on that piece of paper thinking what you really want the other person to feel. You will never feel alone and sad while actually alone and thinking about someone and simultaneously penning down your feelings.
