There are just the same packs of youngsters who pass out from college every year and after doing so, think about what actually they want to do with their lives. Some of them get serious in this sense of career a little too earlier and people make fun of them saying, “He has gone mad!”
Now, are they actually mad? Are they being overly matured? Have they grown up before every one else has? Actually, NO!
It is really good if we realize our goals earlier in life and start working towards it. But hey, don’t worry so much. Goals change and they become better. You might decide to become a mechanical engineer (like I did some years back) and you may also become one (like I have), but after some years you may develop interest in some crazy thing like photography or writing blogs (just like I have) or even singing or even it could be cooking. This isn’t strange at all. Change is the law of nature and we homo sapiens have to abide by it in all walks of life. This might become difficult in some situations but we should never let ourselves down on the balance of self-confidence saying, “I can’t do this anymore.”
People never become serious until they are given some responsibilities that may affect other people. Under the umbrella-shade of their parents, everyone has led a good life because parents, generally, don’t let their children suffer and most importantly, don’t let them grow with a bunch of responsibilities. Therefore, it is very important to know that we are inexperienced in this field of life and will have to have an attitude that allows us to grow in such a direction that will make us more efficient, irrespective of the number of trials that we’ll be required to go through.
The earlier we realize the importance of goals, clearer will be our path towards achievement of that goal. Without any goal if we keep walking towards an unknown direction, we’ll probably end up in a place that we’d never imagined before. This might be good or bad, it is a 50-50 chance and for converting it into a sure shot 100, we need to work upon the goal itself at first, and then carve a way that leads us there.
Situations will definitely come in your private life that will have the potential to disturb your career to the core. It is wholly and solely dependent upon you, how much will you let it affect. You might try to mold into the situation where you’ll accept the disturbances but sooner or later, a realization will come and you’ll have a fight with your inner self, cry out loud within and slap yourself several times asking yourself THE bitter question, “Why didn’t you wake up earlier?”
To regret at that time will be a hell of an experience. Therefore, take a chance NOW.
MOVE, if you don’t feel like it.
Switching careers can be very very very risky, but you’ll never regret it after ten years. Something beautiful comes out when people shift their careers for the sake of their interests and love.
Beware! Don’t just jump. Plan and then, move.
I’d really love to know if someone has done that yet! Sharing such experiences actually aggravates the intention and make it more powerful. So, let us be and make everyone around powerful.
