She was unstoppable, not because she didn’t have failures or doubts but because she continued on despite them — Beau Taplin
As children we all had our favorite heroes. My personal favorite were Invisible woman, Power-puff girls, Shaktiman, Captain Planet, etc. We loved them, worshiped them, pretended to be them and even in our fancy dress competitions dressed and acted like them. In those days female superheroes were not that much popular as male superheroes were. I remember whenever any villain showed up to harm/attack our planet Earth then Captain America or any other male superhero used to come and fight with them and save our planet. Rarely I have seen any female superhero fighting alone with those deadly villains and save people’s lives. But now the time has changed, female superheroes(Black widow, Wonder woman, Wanda Maximoff) -centric cartoons or movies are showing up. But it’s all about virtual life and we very well know that virtual life is different from real life.
During the old times
In the early days, women were seen as wives who were intended to cook, clean and take care of kids. They were not allowed to step out from their houses. There lives used to revolve around their husbands and children whereas men were the bread earners for their families. Men took care of having jobs and paying any bills that had to be paid. At that time, men were the strength of their families because mentally, physically and emotionally they were stronger than the women. So the responsibility of the family was on their shoulders.
But the time has changed so far, so the women too
One day she finally grasped that unexpected things were always going to happen in life. And with that she realized the only control she had been how she chose to handle them. So, she made the decision to survive using courage, humor and grace. She was the Queen of her own life and the choice was hers.
If we compare the current status of women with the ancient time, we can say that really the condition is improving gradually. Women are coming out of their houses and are being professional. They are breaking barriers and have started earning for their families. We know that women’s life is a lot more complicated than a man’s life. She has to take care of herself and family members as daughter, grand-daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, etc. By following such big responsibilities in the family, they are fully able to come out and doing jobs for the bright future of own and their families.
Nowadays, women are fighting for themselves. They are taking stand for each other. If they find out something wrong is happening around her, they raise their voices. They are learning martial arts and they are teaching their daughters to become like them – to be more independent. Today’s women don’t need their husbands, brothers or male companions to fight for themselves. They know how to tackle their problems. They are becoming heroes of their own lives.
In the old times, women were dependent on men for every work – to fetch water from outside, to buy groceries. Men were treated as ‘heroes’ and women were treated as 24*7 ‘ free maids’. But now women have become independent, they don’t need any male hero in their lives and who said men can only be the heroes, don’t forget that women play variety of significant roles in our society from the birth till the end of life. Why any girl has to wait for any prince to solve her problems? In the Disney movie Brave, Merida didn’t wait for a prince to solve her problem. She just needed to get out of her own way.
So, if any man says that a woman cannot be hero because of her feminine character than tell him that by the time your mother gave birth to you, she already became a hero for this world.
She’s the woman who believes that what comes around goes around. The one who hopes for a better day every time despite having so many bad days in the past. The one who won’t give up on you. The one who spent her days smiling, and her nights crying. She’s the one who wears smile all the time but deep inside she is broken completely. The one who looks so damn strong, but sometimes feels so weak. She’s the woman who picks herself up every time she falls.
